ABELCET® (Amphotericin B Lipid Complex) Structural Formula Illustration

ABELCET® (amphotericin b) is indicated for the treatment of invasive fungal infections in patients who are refractory to or intolerant of conventional amphotericin B therapy. This is based on open-label treatment of patients judged by their physicians to be intolerant to or failing conventional amphotericin B therapy (See Description Of Clinical Studies).

Abelcet Consumer Information: Uses

This medication is used to treat a variety of serious fungal infections. It is often used in patients who cannot tolerate or who do not respond to the regular amphotericin treatment. It works by stopping the growth of fungi.

HOW TO USE: This medication is usually given by injection into a vein as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. It should be injected slowly over 2 hours. Dosage is based on your medical condition, weight, and response to therapy.
