What is the pancreas?

The pancreas is a spongy, tube-shaped organ about 6 inches long. It is located in the back of the abdomen, behind the stomach. The head of the pancreas is on the right side of the abdomen. Aminosyn II Prescribing Information: Indications & Dosage

Aminosyn II 8.5% (amino acid injection with electrolytes) WITH ELECTROLYTES, Sulfite-Free, (an amino acid injection) infused with dextrose by peripheral vein infusion is indicated as a source of nitrogen in the nutritional support of patients in whom, for short periods of time, oral nutrition cannot be tolerated, is undesirable, or inadequate.
