Ana-Kit Adrenalin Chloride Solution (epinephrine injection) is a sympathomimetic agent used to relieve respiratory distress due to bronchospasm, to provide rapid relief of allergic reactions to drugs and other allergens, and to prolong the action of anesthetics. It may restore cardiac rhythm in cardiac arrest due to various causes. This medication may be available in generic form. Common side effects include anxiety, headache, fear, and palpitations, as well as injection site reactions.

Ana-Kit Adrenalin Chloride Solution is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly at a dose of 0.2 to 1 mL (mg). Ana-Kit Adrenalin Chloride Solution may interact with digitalis, diuretics, other drugs that sensitize the heart to arrhythmias, antidepressants, or antihistamines. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. During pregnancy, Ana-Kit Adrenalin Chloride Solution should be used only if prescribed. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

SIDE EFFECTS

Transient and minor side effects of anxiety, headache, fear, and palpitations often occur with therapeutic doses, especially in hyperthyroid individuals. Repeated local injections can result in necrosis at sites of injection from vascular constriction. "Epinephrine-fastness" can occur with prolonged use.
