ANZEMET Tablets are indicated for:

  1. the prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including initial and repeat courses in adults and children 2 years and older;
  2. the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting in adults and children 2 years and older.

If you experience any of the following uncommon but serious side effects, stop taking dolasetron and seek emergency medical attention or contact your doctor immediately:

Anzemet Tablets Consumer Information: Uses

This medication is used alone or with other medications to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer drug treatment (chemotherapy). It is also used to prevent nausea and vomiting after surgery. It works by blocking one of the body's natural substances (serotonin) that causes vomiting.
