PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Inform patients that there have been isolated reports of serious hepatic effects from CANCIDAS (caspofungin acetate) therapy. Physicians will assess the risk/benefit of continuing CANCIDAS (caspofungin acetate) therapy if abnormal liver function tests occur during treatment.
  • Inform patients that CANCIDAS (caspofungin acetate) can cause hypersensitivity reactions, including rash, facial swelling, pruritus, sensation of warmth, or bronchospasm.
