What does Niu Huang Jie Du Pian do?
Niu Huang Jie Du Pian is a Chinese Medicinal Formula that is utilized to treat patients with acute inflammation caused by infection. Specifically, mouth and tongue ulcers, sore throat, earaches, conjunctivitis, toothaches, and headaches associated with strong fire. It has been utilized to treat constipation caused by excessive heat not associated with a Yin deficiency. When fever and sore throat are present, it has been used to treat seasonal febrile disease at its early stages. It is also used to treat boils and other skin inflections.

Contaminants s.c. as heavy metals and/or substitutions with pharmaceutical drugs (over the counter and prescription) are a serious health hazard. It should never be utilized in cases of deficiency especially of the spleen where there is diarrhea or loose stools.

Niu Huang Jie Pian is a Chinese Medicine whose formula was first listed in "Differentiation Standards from the Volume on Gynecology and Pediatrics" (Bian Zheng Zhun Sheng Fu Yu Ji) which dates back to the Ming Dynasty, 1368 to 1644AD. It is thought to act as a broad spectrum antibiotic and is used in cases of acute inflammation. This action is not clinically proven.
