PATIENT INFORMATION
Patients should be cautioned that PROTONIX® Delayed-Release Tablets SHOULD NOT BE SPLIT, CRUSHED, OR CHEWED. PROTONIX Delayed-Release Tablets should be swallowed whole, with or without food in the stomach. Concomitant administration of antacids does not affect the absorption of PROTONIX® Delayed-Release Tablets.
- Patients should be cautioned that PROTONIX® For Delayed-Release Oral Suspension SHOULD NOT BE CRUSHED OR CHEWED. PROTONIX For Delayed-Release Oral Suspension should be taken approximately 30 minutes before a meal.
- PROTONIX For Delayed-Release Oral Suspension should only be administered in apple juice or applesauce, not in water or other liquids, or foods.
