DRUG DESCRIPTION

Perphenazine, USP (4-[3-(2-chlorophenothiazin-10-yl)propyl]-1-piperazineethanol), a piperazinyl phenothiazine, is an antipsychotic and an antinauseant having the chemical formula, C21H26ClN3OS and the following molecular weight 403.97. The structual formula is:

Each tablet for oral administration contains perphenazine, USP 2 mg, 4 mg, 8 mg or 16 mg.

Inactive ingredients: lactose (monohydrate), hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, starch (corn), titanium dioxide, and other ingredients.
