ERAXIS™ (anidulafungin) Structural Formula Illustration

ERAXIS (anidulafungin) is indicated for use in the treatment of the following fungal infections:

Candidemia and other forms of Candida infections (intra-abdominal abscess, and peritonitis) (see Clinical Studies and Microbiology).

ERAXIS (anidulafungin) has not been studied in endocarditis, osteomyelitis, and meningitis due to Candida, and has not been studied in sufficient numbers of neutropenic patients to determine efficacy in this group.

Eraxis Patient Information: Side Effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:

  • feeling light-headed or faint; or
  • confusion, weakness, dry mouth, or muscle tenderness.

Less serious side effects may include:

  • hot flashes;
  • diarrhea or constipation;
  • nausea, vomiting, stomach pain; or
  • headache.

Eraxis Consumer Information: Uses

This medication is used to treat certain fungal infections caused by the Candida fungus (e.g., candidemia, esophageal candidiasis). It works by stopping the growth of fungus.
