Ferrlecit

PATIENT INFORMATION

Prior to Ferrlecit administration:

  • Question patients regarding any prior history of reactions to parenteral iron products.
  • Advise patients of the risks associated with Ferrlecit.
  • Advise patients to report adverse reactions associated with the use of Ferrlecit, including hypersensitivity, allergic reactions, dizziness, light-headedness, swelling, and breathing problems [see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS and ADVERSE REACTIONS].

Advise patients that Ferrlecit may reduce the absorption of concomitantly administered oral iron preparations [see DRUG INTERACTIONS].
