Common side effects include fever, infection at injection site or redness/red streaking and swelling from the site of infection.
Dosage of Hypertonic Saline is dependent upon the age, weight, and clinical condition of the patient as well as laboratory determinations. Other drugs may affect Hypertonic Saline. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications and supplements you use. Hypertonic Saline should be given to a pregnant woman only if prescribed.
