INTRALIPID®20% IS METABOLIZED AND UTILIZED AS A SOURCE OF ENERGY CAUSING AN INCREASE IN HEAT PRODUCTION, DECREASE IN RESPIRATORY QUOTIENT AND INCREASE IN OXYGEN CONSUMPTION.
