How does Lysine work?

Lysine seems to prevent the herpes virus from growing.

Are there safety concerns?

Lysine seems safe for most people when taken for up to one year. It can cause side effects such as stomach pain and diarrhea.

Do not take lysine if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • You have kidney problems.
