NIMBEX (cisatracurium besylate) is an intermediate-onset/intermediate-duration neuromuscular blocking agent indicated for inpatients and outpatients as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate tracheal intubation, and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation in the ICU.

Nimbex Patient Information: Side Effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Tell your caregivers right away if you have any of these serious side effects:

  • slow heart rate;
  • noisy breathing, feeling short of breath;
  • ongoing muscle weakness; or
  • inability to move your muscles.

Less serious side effects may include:

  • feeling light-headed;
  • mild itching or skin rash; or
