Organidin NR (guaifenesin) Tablets, Liquid is an expectorant used to treat chronic bronchitis. It is available in generic form. Common side effects of Organidin NR include dizziness, headache, rash, nausea, vomiting, and upset stomach.
The recommended dosage of Organidin NR is 200 mg to 400 mg every four hours. Other drugs may interact with Organidin NR. Tell your doctor all medications you take. Ask a doctor before giving a cough or cold medicine to a child. Drink plenty of liquids while taking Organidin NR. If you are pregnant only use Organidin NR if the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks to the fetus. Do not take Organidin NR if you are breastfeeding.

Guaifenesin is well tolerated and has a wide margin of safety. Side effects have been generally mild and infrequent. Nausea and vomiting are the side effects that occur most commonly. Dizziness, headache, and rash (including urticaria) have been reported rarely.
