ProHIBiT (haemophilus b conjugate vaccine) ® is indicated for immunization against invasive diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzaetype b.25,26 ProHIBiT (haemophilus b conjugate vaccine) ® may be administered as a booster vaccination at 12 to 15 months of age in children who received primary immunization with Haemophilus b Conjugate Vaccine (Meningococcal Protein Conjugate) or Haemophilus b Conjugate Vaccine (Diphtheria CRM197 Protein Conjugate) as illustrated in Tables 2, 3, 4 and 5. Prohibit Patient Information: Side Effects

Getting haemophilus influenzae disease is much riskier than getting Hib vaccine. However, a vaccine, like any medicine, is capable of causing serious problems, such as severe allergic reactions. The risk of Hib vaccine causing serious harm, or death, is extremely small.
