Raxar Prescribing Information: Indications & Dosage

RAXAR (grepafloxacin) Tablets are indicated for treatment of adults with mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in the infections listed below:

Acute Bacterial Exacerbations of Chronic Bronchitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, or Moraxella catarrhalis (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY: CLINICAL STUDIES subsection).

Raxar Patient Information: Side Effects

If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking grepafloxacin and seek emergency medical attention:

  • an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
  • irregular or slow heartbeats;
  • repeated fainting;
  • seizures;
  • confusion or hallucinations;
  • liver damage (yellowing of the skin or eyes, nausea, abdominal pain or discomfort, unusual bleeding or bruising, severe fatigue); or
  • muscle or joint pain.
