Definition of Meningitis, aseptic
Meningitis, aseptic: Inflammation of the meninges that is not caused by bacterial infection. Viral meningitis is the most common cause of aseptic meningitis, but other causes include systemic lupus erythematosus, cancers, Behcet's disease, medications, and others.
