Definition of Prehypertension
Prehypertension: A systolic pressure of 120 to 139 mm Hg or a diastolic pressure of between 80 and 89 mm Hg. Prehypertension is a precursor to chronic high blood pressure. Lifestyle changes are therefore recommended for anyone with prehypertension.
