Definition of Inhalant

Inhalant: 1. Generally, any breathable chemical vapor.
2. Specifically, a psychoactive substance whose volatile vapors are subject to abuse such as solvents, household and commercial gases, medical anesthetic gases, and nitrites (for example, in antifreeze). See also: Abused inhalant.
