Definition of H. flu genome
H. flu genome: The total genetic complement of the bacterium Haemophilus influenzae (H. flu). This bacterial genome was the first in an independent organism to be sequenced and assembled. The H. flu genome contains 1.8 million base pairs and is estimated to have 1,740 genes. The sequencing of this genome was completed in 1995.
