Glaucoma, symptoms of: There are no symptoms of the most common form until the condition is far advanced. There is no pain except in the acute form. A person with advanced glaucoma may notice the side vision gradually failing. That is, objects in front may still be seen clearly, but objects to the side may be missed. As the disease worsens, the field of vision narrows and blindness results.
