Definition of Hirsutism

Hirsutism: Having an overabundance of hair. A person with hirsutism is said to be hirsute (pronounced hir-suit).

Hirsutism is the Roman way of saying hairy. It comes from the Latin "hirsutus" meaning bristly or rude.
