Definition of Moscati, St. Joseph
Moscati, St. Joseph: (1880-1927) Dr. Giuseppe (Joseph) Mosati, physician from Naples. First modern doctor to be canonized by the Catholic Church (in 1987). Moscati directed several hospitals, served as a doctor in the front lines of World War I, healed, taught and supported the poor and outcast. He was professor of medicine at Naples University.
