Definition of Otic barotrauma

Otic barotrauma: Middle ear problems due to changing atmospheric pressures, as when a plane descends to land. The problems include ear pain, ringing, diminished hearing and, sometimes, dizziness.

Also known as aerotitis: aerotitis media, barotitis, barotitis media.
