Definition of Soft tissue sarcoma

Soft tissue sarcoma: A malignant tumor that begins in the muscle, fat, fibrous tissue, blood vessels, or other "soft" supporting tissues of the body. Soft tissue sarcomas do not originate in bone or cartilage.
