Definition of Lymphadenopathy-associated virus

Lymphadenopathy-associated virus: Another name for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that causes AIDS.

Lymphadenopathy may be secondary to any substance that is foreign to the body i.e., in addition to viruses - bacteria, tumors.
