Definition of Auditory acuity

Auditory acuity: The clarity or clearness of hearing, a measure of how well a person hears.

Auditory acuity is what is measured when determining the need for a hearing aide and monitoring the ability to hear.

The word "acuity" comes from the Latin "acuitas" = sharpness.
