Been using it for years with no complaints. Very easy to use. Doc prescribed 2 doses per day but I discovered I only need 1 for it to work (I told him and he OK'd it). Now I only use it once daily and it lasts twice as long, saving me money. Has almost no taste, you can barely even tell anything goes in your mouth. All in all a great drug that keeps me out of the emergency room. Published: September 27, 2007 ::
Spyriva works much better once a day and doesn't give all the side effects and problems advair does. Published: October 25, 2007 ::
I have been using this drug for about 5 years. It works but the side effects are way too intense to justify taking the drug. I want to quite asap. I have no energy, muscle cramps and muscle pain. If i workout it takes 3 days to recover from it. I gained 50 pounds on this drug, my joints hurt, my voice is horse all the time....I also feel like i have aged 20 years since i started to take this drug. Im done not worth it...... I really liked this medicene when I was first put on it. But now Im dealing with severe bone deteration and my teeth are literally breaking off. It controls asthma very well but the side effects are not worth it. If you must take this have your Dr. put you on one of the osteoperosis drugs to keep your bones strong(if you have heart problems then at least take extra calcium) I was not told any of this until it was too late and then the damage was done. If your teeth are sensitive even if you brush immediatly after taking advair it will still effect your teeth. Be very careful with this medicene. Published: October 28, 2007 ::
I have been using Advair for 5 years. In the beginning it worked very well! 3 years into using it I started getting severe muscle spasms. They were so bad I finally asked for something to take to stop the muscle spasms, they gave me clonazepam. It took a couple of days for it to work & now I only will have a spasm every once in a while. Also I've had alot of trouble with mouth soreness & horseness since day one. Also in the five years that I have been taking Advair I have gained 50 pounds!!!! I am on my last Discus & then I refuse to takie it any more, I think its killing me. Published: March 13, 2008 ::
I LOVE this product, but I'm very concerned about its risks that I hear about. My sister-in-law is a pharmasist, and she has heard lots of issues with people who have died because of this product. Yes, died. I'm still a user, but with great concern. just an FYI Published: December 23, 2007 ::
I ended up in the cardiologist office with sever heart palpitations and arrhythmia. I could really breathe – but the Dr.’s thought that I had caused damage to my heart from the medication. After a battery of test – no more Advair and no more problems. I have never experienced heart problems prior and am now on Asmanex – and no heart problems and .... MUCH BETTER Published: December 29, 2007 ::
Leg cramps, weight gain, high blood pressure, glaucoma, high cortisol - can't just stop or breathing is worse than before started taking Published: March 11, 2008 ::
I was using my "rescue" inhaler every 2hrs. Once I tried Advair I couldn't believe the difference. I guess this is what it's like to have "healthy" lungs. It's a miracle drug. Its just too bad it's so expensive. I don't have health insurance that will cover this and @ $200 a pop... I sadly can't use it on a regular basis. BUT if you can afford it, have your Dr. get it for you!!!! Published: November 19, 2007 ::

I am on the low dose, 100/50 twice a day. The only major problem that this drug has given me is oral thrush/ulcers on my tongue and in my throat. Eating is excruciating painful. I have found over the years that if I brush my teeth after I use this drug every time, my incidences of oral thrush/ulcers have greatly diminished. Published: February 04, 2008 ::
