I have tried many of these type drugs and did not have the problems of muscle pain as bad as with Lipitor or Zetia. Thumbs up except for the stroke I had when my pharmacist told me it was $45.68 w/ BC/BS Insurance!! Published: January 22, 2008 ::

I could not tolerate statins, zetia, or red yeast rice. Antara has not caused muscle pain or muscle weakness after one month of use. Won't know if it's effective in reducing LDL cholesterol until next blood test in another month, but I'll add that info at that time. Published: May 09, 2008 ::

I took it for three years. It worked but what a cost! It sucked all the joy out of my life. I began to see immediate relief from depression within weeks of changing my medication . Published: June 25, 2008 ::

I have been using Antara for 1 1/2 months now. Can't get the blood test 'til next month. They cover my $10/month co-pay. The Pharmacist gave me their information. It's covered for a year. The only problem I've had is some weird (like hot flashes) from it. I can tolerate it though. Published: June 19, 2009 ::
