I was only on Cartia for 1 month.I experienced severe pain in both legs & sometimes my arms.My local pharmacist refused to refill it because it interacted with almost all of my other meds, something my Dr.obviously didn't bother to check before prescribing it.It's been 2 months since my Dr. took me off Cartia, and I still have pain in my upper thighs. The other medicine I take is Ranexa.

My blood pressure is going UP on this drug and is staying up. Many side effects - sore joints, dry mouth, cough, vision changes. I've only been on this for two weeks and can't wait to get off it.

Since I've been on this medicine for three months I have felt VERY nervous, jittery and shaky, and my heart pounds EVERY time I climb steps. Also just feel like I'm a walking zombie. Did NOT have these symptoms before taking this drug. Very scattered in it's effective in lowering my BP. I complained at the last visit, but wasn't on it but about a month then, and my cardiologist thought it was a wonderful drug. Might be for many people but NOT for me. I'll insist on being taken off it on my next visit.

I have become severely bloated and wonder if it is because of Cartia.
