This drug has given me the means to really satisfy my wife. Published: May 19, 2008 ::
I"ve had diabetes for over 40 yrs. This has been the only medication that can give me a good erection.Adjustments in dosage are very important. Start low and increase gradually if needed. Some discomfort during injection and sometimes I've gotten no results, I think that had to do with the injection site.I have been using the 20mg. and now my pharmacist tells me that the only availiable strength is now 10 mg. When properly used with the right dosage, it's great. Published: October 01, 2008 ::
Did not work at all. I had better results with Prostiglandin(spelling), which had to stay in fridge. Caverject does not. Do not know why it does not have to stay in fridge. Published: October 04, 2007 ::
I have been using this treatment since 1997 and his has worked extremely well for me until recently when the last 6 injection did not work at all. In fact it caused a painful swelling around the injection site and no erection . the site was also very tender and sore with extensive bruising. contacting the manufacturer did not elicit a satisfactory response to my problem. the doctors also did not seem very concerned. In short, Caverject has stopped working for me and left me in limbo regarding my problem. all other medications failed miserable to produce any erection. Published: February 19, 2009 ::
The results have varied from excellent to almost non-existent. The shortage of the impulse kit has been disappointing; however, I have adapted well to the mixing and self-injection with supplied syringes. Published: February 12, 2009 ::

Indication
Uroxatral® (alfuzosin HCl 10 mg extended-release tablets) is an alpha1-blocker for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of BPH.
Important Safety Information
Do not take UROXATRAL if you have liver problems or if you are taking antifungal drugs like ketoconazole or itraconazole, or HIV drugs like ritonavir.
UROXATRAL can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, especially when starting treatment. This may lead to fainting, dizziness, and lightheadedness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do any dangerous activity until you know how UROXATRAL will affect you. This is especially important if you already have a problem with low blood pressure or take medicines to treat high blood pressure. There may be an increased risk of low blood pressure and fainting when taking UROXATRAL in combination with blood pressure medication or nitrates, or erectile dysfunction medication.
If considering cataract surgery (clouding of the eyes), tell your eye surgeon that you are currently taking UROXATRAL or have previously been treated with an alpha-blocker.
Before taking UROXATRAL, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems.
Also, tell your doctor if you or any family member(s) have or take medications for a rare heart condition known as congenital prolongation of the QT interval.
BPH and prostate cancer can cause the same symptoms. However, UROXATRAL is not a treatment for prostate cancer.
The most common side effects with UROXATRAL are dizziness, upper respiratory tract infection, headache, and tiredness.
Please see UROXATRAL full prescribing information.

When nothing else worked, this has been a godsend. I started with 10mg and had a full erection for 2 hours which was very uncomfortable. Reducing the dose has cut that down to about an hour and much less discomfort. It is quite amazing and enjoyable to use. Getting used to giving myself the shot has been helped by my wife's participation. As a side effect, I seem to be not at my best mentally for several hours. My mind tends to drift off. Drinking lots of water clears it out of my system faster. Published: November 28, 2007 ::
