After 3 days of a 10 day treatment, this drug made me physically ill. I had shakes, headache, dizzieness, heart racing, no energy, horrible taste in my mouth, numbness in my arms and lightheaded. I stopped taking this drug because I thought I was having a heart attack. My symptoms have gone away from the UTI, but I will need to see the Dr. again to make sure that it is completely gone. 3 days were enough for me... I would not recommend this drug at all. After taking this drug for diverticulitis, I developed nearly EVERY side effect listed on the drug sheet. PLEASE read the report at www.fluroquinolones.org. 6 MONTHS LATER, I still have palpitations, ringing in ears, nerve sensory problems, joint & muscle pain and much more. This has ruined my life. This medication helped my UTI symptoms, however, Cipro causes nausea. I threw up when I took the meds without eating first. I have had cramps and horrible stomach pain. Published: May 05, 2008 ::

I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis on 8/22. My dictor put me on Cipro & flagyl. So far so good pain has decreased. I go back to the doctor on 8/29 to get his opinon if this has worked to stop the inflamation. I have had Diverticulotus for over 6 years, but this is the first time they have became inflamed. I have taken it several times for urinary track or bladder infection. It has always worked, but sometimes I need additional days of cipro to rid the bacteria from my body. Cipro upsets my stomach and makes me constipated. Published: July 02, 2008 ::

Have taken Cipro twice now for UTI and have had great results. With this drug I have not had vaginal yeast infections that seem to always come with other drugs for UTI. Published: April 09, 2008 ::

Cipro knocked down the infection all right, but after 6 doses I started having joint pain. 3rd day after stopping and I walk around like an old man and I am terrified of long-term disability due to this drug. Was nervous about taking this med because of all the side effects. Day 2 i had the worst migraine of my life! and I get frequent migranes. It's now day 4 and my legs have cramped up so bad it feels like they are locked. My kidney infection pain is gone but I rather have my back hurt then this leg and head pain.
