I started this patch a month ago after a hysterectomy. It works on my symptoms but I can tell when it is almost time to replace the patch because I get terrible migraines and when I put on a new patch I am REALLY jittery and have panic attacks. It moves around on my skin even though I try not to disturb it and water makes it come off often. If you decide on this patch you might try those clear sticky covers they sell for when you shower or bathe. I have stopped this med in favor of natural alternatives. Published: December 11, 2007 ::

I have been using this drug for 1 year. My complaint is that it doesn't stay on after showering. It makes it difficult to use. Published: November 08, 2008 ::

I had a full hysterectomy 2.5 years ago and have been on the climara patch. My only complaint would be that after 3 or 4 days it does get wet under the patch when I shower, I need to remove it and try to dry it off without losing the benefit of being able to reattach it. At times the area the patch is on also gets a little itchy. Published: March 02, 2008 ::

After a complete hysterectomy I chose to "tough it out" with dry skin, hot flashes, sleeplessness, etc. When my hair began to thin and fall out I asked for the full on hormones. The patch takes about three weeks to really work. It stays on, is invisible, causes me no irritation and I feel great. It is very important to talk with your doctor about what is the right product for you. If you use a patch, your skin must be dry and you must put it in a place where it won't be disturbed. Don't pick at it or wash over it harshly. I'm very pleased with Climara. Published: July 28, 2009 ::

;Menopausal symptomsI've had 2 experiences one with the generic patch and 1 with the brand Climara. The generic patch made me jumpy, anxious to the point of panic attacks. A quick call to my dr. and I received Climara. It was much better...origially it was combined with prometrium (progesterone) another pill takend for 12 days, but the combination created mood swings and I am now going to try another progestrone RX...but will stay on the Climara patch. I do find this patch too large and difficult to keep on for 1 week. I had better experience with ClimaraPRO patches (smaller) but the amonunt of estrogen/progesterine was not enough. I find the last 2 days of wearing the Climara patch difficult and note I am probably not getting the rX dosage because the patch is not staying on. Since I successfully used the Climara Pro patch...I am guessing it's the size of the Climara patch If anyone is on the generic and it makes them hyper...try the Climara brand before giving up and going to another HT Published: July 25, 2009 ::

When compared to the name brand Climara this patch is completely unacceptable. It is too thick and repeatedly would lift in the shower. I chose to go back to the name brand and pay the extra money for a patch that was ultra thin and stayed in place all week. Published: March 31, 2009 ::

If you are taking and estrogen replacement and still have your uterus - you should also be taking a progestin RX. Published: December 04, 2008 ::
