I have suffered from ED for approx 10 yrs,due to diabetes. This medication works extremly well for me. Published: October 19, 2008 ::
I was a combat medic for 17 yrs and due to exposure to agent orange in Vietnam found that I was having problems with getting erect as the years progressed. A doctor at the VA told me about the medication and said that most men don't want to use it because of the delivery method. I have found that if you are familir with giving injections it is very easy to use. Since I have been using the med I am more confident around women and can have an erection that lasts longer than it did prior to the medication. The needle is small and possibly flimsy but if you are careful it causes no more of a problem than most needles that are for injection. Since starting alprostadil I have gotten maried and my wife thinks it is great. Most of the women I was with before my wife said they would never give the injection because they didn't want to hurt me but giving it myself has proved to be the best way to inject it. Great product but I am hearing that there are no longer distributors/manufactures in USA ? If anyone reading this post knows of a source, please post on this site. Would be a shame if no one will distribute it. My pharmacist is searching with no success. Schwarz Pharma has seemed to disappear off the face of the earth. At the price it sold for, they couldn`t be losing $ on it, I would think. But well worth the money. Compounding pharmacist can compound it but no good delivery system and bulk has to be refrigerated, making travel difficult. Any suggestions anyone ? Would appreciate any response Published: November 21, 2008 ::

Using this product was a joy, and I wife was also pleased. I only wish I lasted a little longer. I never thought we would have sex again. We were wrong. :) Jeff Published: January 09, 2009 ::
After some experience with self injection, I find this medication effective in conjunction with a vacuum pump. Praise the Lord for modern scientific advances. Recently have difficulty finding source of supply. Published: November 18, 2008 ::

This is an excellent medication. My problem now is finding it at a pharmacy. Either manufacturers have ceased making it or warehouses are not stocking it. Some pharmacies have told me it is backordered for july, 2009!! Published: September 19, 2008 ::

Indication
Uroxatral® (alfuzosin HCl 10 mg extended-release tablets) is an alpha1-blocker for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of BPH.
Important Safety Information
Do not take UROXATRAL if you have liver problems or if you are taking antifungal drugs like ketoconazole or itraconazole, or HIV drugs like ritonavir.
UROXATRAL can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, especially when starting treatment. This may lead to fainting, dizziness, and lightheadedness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do any dangerous activity until you know how UROXATRAL will affect you. This is especially important if you already have a problem with low blood pressure or take medicines to treat high blood pressure. There may be an increased risk of low blood pressure and fainting when taking UROXATRAL in combination with blood pressure medication or nitrates, or erectile dysfunction medication.
If considering cataract surgery (clouding of the eyes), tell your eye surgeon that you are currently taking UROXATRAL or have previously been treated with an alpha-blocker.
Before taking UROXATRAL, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems.
Also, tell your doctor if you or any family member(s) have or take medications for a rare heart condition known as congenital prolongation of the QT interval.
BPH and prostate cancer can cause the same symptoms. However, UROXATRAL is not a treatment for prostate cancer.
The most common side effects with UROXATRAL are dizziness, upper respiratory tract infection, headache, and tiredness.
Please see UROXATRAL full prescribing information.

I became completely impotent after cryosurgery for prostate cancer. None of the pills worked and vacuum devices were only marginally successful. First experiences with caverject produced great erections but also hurt like H---. Eventually I reduced dosages to about 1(one) microgram by drawing about 5% of the contents of a 20 MG hypo into a small hypo commonly used by diabetics. These cost only a few cents each and have a very small needle. This method eliminates the dull pain which occurred with dosages of 5 MG or more and I get several doses per hypo. My Dr. suggests that I keep the mixed hypo in the refrigerator and discard any mixed alprostadil after one month and be very careful not to contaminate the stored medicine. I have been using this method 2 or 3 times a week for nearly one year with absolutely no problems and nothing but smiles all around. Published: September 24, 2007 ::
