I'm been on Verapamil for over 15 years and have had no side effects. I currently take 240 mgs for high bp and it keeps my bp well controlled.

I participated in a blind study at Dyke Univ Hosp in Wilmington, NC back in '95 and after suffering with Migraines weekly for 20 years I found relief and relief from my Angina. However as soon as they switched the Isoptin SR to the Verapamil th pain came right back and when I went back to Isoptin SR it went away again. I've taken it ever since and seldon ever have a headache and migraines have lost my address and Thank God for it. I just wish they still made the liquid because I suffer from dysphagia. It is expensive but worth every dime even when I have to choose pills or groceries. The Pills will always win. There is no hell like Migraine Hell on day 7 thru 37+. I am a nurse and my patients have enjoyed the same relief and it is a Godsend.
