I have had shoulder and neck pain for 3 years, have been to numerous Dr.s. All have said cronic pain disorder! Finally I went to an Orthepedic Dr. he suspects R.A. makes sence to me. Reflecting on past years I have had pain with my feet in the mornings...burning sensation, hips, and shoulders & neck as i have mentioned. Taking Lortab and Ultram has made my life bearable. Now I can go to work and be productive. It has made a hugh difference. Matriarch
this drug kills the pain but it makes me unable to the simplest task
I use this medication for break through pain. I use Kadian for the fibromyalgia pain and Lortab helps with the back and neck pain.

Prescribed dosage was insufficient to ease pain from surgery.
I suffer from RSD and Fibromyalgia. I am on another, very strong pain med, but need a secondary medication for breakthrough pain. I was on Oxycodone for over a year and kept telling my excellent pain doc the Oxycodone was not working.I finally had to ask him to sit and listen to me and said "The Oxycodone is not working". It's an expensive drug for my Medicare Insurance. My pain doc finally said what would I (myself) and I said Lorcet 10 which has worked well in the past. I asked my regular pain doc why it was working vs. the Oxycodone and he said when changed from one to another, it's called "Opioid Rotation" as long term chronic pain patients are on pain drugs the rest of their life and they often have to change one or more of the pain meds. It works great for me, but one has to pay attention to your Tylenol intake. The max recommended dose is 4,000 mgs a day and one should really take a lower amount. This drug just works well with my Dilaudid.

I have severe back pain and take this medication 5 times a day plus morphine 60 mg twice a day it helps some I just don't think anything will take away all the pain.
7 lower back surgeries in the last 8 years. Chronic Pain!I've been taking Lortab 10/500 4X a day since 2005. It helps, but not a lot. But I'd rather take it than something like Oxycotin.
I was in a skateboarding accident and injuried my lower back. I was in severe pain. At first I used other over the counter pain relievers nothing helped. I could hardly walk. Finally went to a doctor. He wrote me an Rx for Lortab. Didn't want to use it at first because of it being habit forming, and I take Gabapentin and Zoloft. I like the fact, I don't have to worry about Gabapentin and Zoloft interacting with it. Finally I gave in and took the Lortab. it. Within 45 minutes of taking it, my pain was gone. I felt like I was floating and felt really relaxed, yet full of energy. I take it only as I need it to prevent myself from getting addicted. I like being free of pain and I like the Lortab. Another thing, I smoke, but when I take the Lortab, for me it cuts the cravings for a cigarette WAY DOWN for some odd reason. Lortab is a miricle drug.
