As far as I am concerned this medication-Luvox has giving me my life back. I no longer feel the urge to do any type of compulsive behavior. I used to spend hours on end on many types of compulsive rituals, but I no longer feel the need to do so. I will recomended to any body who needs to get rid of repetitive behavior and compulsions. There is just one cash, it is way too expensive for most people's budgets. Published: September 21, 2007 ::

The best medication for OCD! None others had worked for me. I find this to have no side effects where other tricyclics antidepressants did. Published: July 04, 2008 ::

I diagnosed with OCD when I was just about 12 years old. After struggling to find the right solution, I ended up with Luvox. It really helps with the obsessive thoughts and makes resisting the compulsion easier. I've been on almost every OCD medication there is and this has worked the best. It does tend to make me tired though, but for what it does it is tolerable. Getting there was the problem with severe relapses between med changes. If you find a drug that works, really consider how hard your working before switching if you think it's not doing enough because that drug is only a tool for recovery and can't do all the work. There is no drug that will totally remove OCD without hard work from the afflicted. Published: January 02, 2008 ::

I've been on Luvox for over 10 years & it changed my life. My doctor initially prescribed it to help me get through my divorce. It took a few weeks to get used to it because I felt a bit like I was in a fog at first. But after a few weeks, I felt normal. I didn't think it was doing anything until a few months later when I thought back and realized how much calmer I'd been and how I could handle things much easier. As time went on, I realized that I didn't feel panic in stressful situations & I realize now that I had an anxiety problem and should have been on this my whole adult life. I still feel all emotions: anxiety, worry, stress, panic, etc but in a way more controlled manor. Several times over the years I have decided I'm ok now because I feel "normal" and I've decided to slowly wean off the luvox. But every time I've done this I realize how much it helps me to just feel "normal". My only side effect has been possible lowered libido. Hope this helps. Published: November 10, 2008 ::

Luvox has been great in treating my Bipolar depression/manic episodes. I haven't had to increase the dose in a year. It's a very good drug in the treatment of depression with little or no side effects. Published: November 25, 2007 ::
