My cocker spaniel female has been on lysodren for less than 1 year and has had some of the side effects, such as drowsiness and loss of appetite. She also has atypical Cushing's requiring medicating with melatonin. This is probably adding to her drowsiness.

This medication has been prescribed for my Llaso Apso who was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease. The treatment has been working and he has not experienced, so far, any extreme side effects from the medication. He is a 13 year old canine, and has been on this medication for one year now. He has tremors, yet he was experiencing tremors before his diagnosis of Cushing's Disease. He is monitored regularly by his vet, to see if the dosage is correct.
