This is a Nsaid recommended for joint paid caused by osteoartritis. Topical Nsaids containing diclofenac are Voltaren gel, Flector Patch and Pennsaid, a liquid. The oral version has been linked to liver damage. The patch should be safe to replace aspirin and other oral Nsaids that could cause stomach problems. The FDA approved the first topical Nsaid in2007 containing diclofenac.uqtnwk

Used on ankle for swelling at base of achilles tendon. Did nothing for the swelling and ended up hospitalized for abdominal pain after use 1 week.

I use it every day at least 2 times a day. It does seem to help with the pain I have in my knee. I havenot had any problem with the medicine.
