My husband has had angina for several years and it has done wonders for his condition. He has only been on it for a little over a week and has had to take only one nitro pill and he had only been on it for two days, but has not had angina since.

I found this to be a wonderful drug for angina. Had angina for almost 2 years and after taking Ranexa for 2 days not one angina attack. I was becoming a cardic invalid before Ranexa. May have to ask doctor for it. Some are slow to prescribe it. Only thing left to say is Ranexa is a wonderful drug.

Very rewarding medication that has kept me going at more normal pace. I tried reducing it by one half and my discomforts started again, went back to my normal two a day and i am fine again. Many thanks to my doctor for recomming it.

My chest pain kept me from living a productive life. I could not get a breath with any activity. With all the meds and procedures I've had I should feel great. I didn't. After my last heart angio the Dr. said to try this med. By the end of the week I was in great shape. As far as side afects I'm on a ton of drugs. What drug can't cause side affects? I'm alive and now able to walk a few blocks and keep up the pace on my job. The cost is high. Being able to work, concentrate and keep up with friends/family is worth it.

Ranexa has helped my angina, but I am so tired, and have had pain in my bones, I am not sure that this is a side effect from the medication.

I have been taking two 500mg tablets a day for about 8 months. It helped me in the beginning, but lately I am having moderate angina more often than before I started Ranexa. The handout says to not take more than 1000 per dose or 2000 per day. I will ask my doctor if three 500mg per day would be beneficial. Does anyone else take more than two 500 mg per day? Thank God for Nitro.
