I was taking Flomax, an Rx and wanted to get on something non-perscrip. I have been using the Beta Sitosterol for over a year now and am very pleased. No more night trips to the bathroom. Also, no undesired side effects.

I HAVE BEEN USING B-SITOSTEROL FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS. RESULTS ARE IMPROVING FOR THE PROSTRATE. I UP TO 480MG PER DAY AND WILL INCREASE TO 600MG PER DAY NEXT WEEK. WILL CONTINUE TO REPORT PROGRESS AS NEEDED.

READERS BE FOREWARNED: These reviews seem very fake. Why are ALL of the 30 reviews before this one EXACTLY the same and filled out only minutes between one another. It seems, for some reason, someone overvoted on this product, adulterating the feedback. Not sure why they would do this, but it seems pretty obvious.

The vancomycin I took was used to cure a cellulitis infection. I have had 3 cellulitis infections in the last 5 years. Each time I was given vancomycin intravenously (picc line) and the infection cleared up. The only problem was that having the picc line in my arm and having to keep it dry limited me in doing certain things that I usually do daily. I guess I would say it was inconvenient, but it did the job!

lowered my levels by 30 in less than 6 months. when I stopped taking it for 3 months my C/levels became higher, even when continued moderate exercise and diet were also observed. I resumned a 650mg intake a day, morning, and my C/level again dropped to my target level 200. I read that it may deplete Vit A, carefully adding more foods containing A to diet.(Phytosterol concentrate 650mg ---as Beta Sitosterol 300mg,campesterol 163mg,stigmasterol 117mg)

I was started on vancomycin iv twice daily while in the hospital for steomyelitis. no problems. Now I have been on the iv thereapy for almost 4 weeks at home and the problems start. During the iv the itching starts from head to toe and it continues for 2 hrs after iv is done. Today I had blood drawn - this is done weekly - to determine the vancomycin amount in the blood. the nusrse said it is possible that the vancomycin may be decreased or discontinued. Over all the vancomycin has helped alot. The doctor told me that I will be on antiobiotics for a long time. The iv therapy will only be for 6 - 8 weeks, after that it will be oral meds,

Following surgery for a MRSA abcess I was treated with Vanco home IV via a picc line and with the assist of home heath care. After three weeks of twice daily treatment I developed Red Man. High fever, red as a cherry, complete body rash. After one and a half weeks I'm still recovering. It worked but I hope I never have to use this drug again.

I had used Vanco off and on for the last 6 years for lung infections. I never had a reaction to this medication until my last infection. I went into acute renal failure and since I was at home doing infusions on my own, it wasn't caught right away. I've never had kidney problems until now. If I'm still eventually able to use this med again I will, but I will ask for more blood draws to check my kidneys and electrolytes as I think everyone should.
