I have used all three pills, such as viagra, levitra and etc. Nothing works. I can get aroused but not hard. I can see it start to work, then nothing.

This is a follow-up review after having successfully used Viagra for 3 years. Here are a few tips that work for me (your experience may vary). 1) Do not drink alcohol before taking Viagra. Alcohol will negate the effectiveness of your dose. Sorry, guys. It's either a cold beer or good sex … your choice. 2) Do not eat a big meal before taking Viagra. Like alcohol, a heavy meal will dramatically reduce or eliminate the benefits of Viagra. Here's a workaround: Do your drinking and eating at least 3-4 hours before taking Viagra to improve chances that it will work. 3) If you get a headache after taking Viagra, try a lower dose. I started on 100 mg and found that by cutting back to 50 mg (by cutting them in half), I virtually eliminated the headaches and yet the drug is just as effective. 4) If you have an empty stomach (for example, first thing in the morning) you might try an even smaller dose. 5) I get flushing in my face no matter what dosage I use. Again, that's a normal, well documented side- affect and one that I can live with. 6) Viagra won't increase your sex drive. If you're tired and not really interested in having sex, taking this pill won't help. 7) If you think you need help with ED, don't hesitate to ask your doctor for help. They deal with this common malady all the time and will not be embarrassed. Hey, if I can discuss it with my doc (who happens to be a woman), so can you! 8) And a final word of advice … be sensitive to your partner. Viagra will allow you to keep it up longer during intercourse, which allows for some long and vigorous sessions. But keep in mind that your partner may need extra lube or a break in the action if you are overzealous. I still continue to be amazed at how effective Viagra is and feel very lucky that this class of meds for erectile dysfunction is available to us. It must have been difficult for our brethren that came before us (no pun intended) during the pre-Viagra era. Good luck fellas!

I started using Viagra about 10 years ago (the doctor prescribed 50 mg) about 2 hours before intercourse. It worked very well indeed. After a few weeks, I thought maybe a smaller dose would be sufficient for me. I powdered the pill and used a pinch of viagra (about 5 mgs) 2 hours before intercourse. This gave reliable erections and confidence. I have been using this smaller dose ever since and it has worked well for me, and saved money too.

I use it, I like it and it works. I get it online - edmeds.com - they come in unlabeled packages....

After starting several different medications as a result of a heart attack at 41 years of age I started having some trouble getting an erection and maintaining it during sex with my wife. Finally at age 46 my family doctor put me on 50 mg. of viagara which didn't really seem to help. After increasing the dosage to 100mg. it has proven effective at least 90% of the time.

Comment from: Mr. Happy, 35-44 Female on Treatment for 1-6 months (Patient) Published: October 17

I don't have ED, but at 40 I find that Mr. Happy sometimes will not cooperate - especialy if I'm tired. So, I take just a smidgin of the stuff as an insurance policy (about 25mg). Works like a charm. I have used on about 4 occassions and it works like a charm. The instructions say it might only be good for 4 hours, but I find it last even until the next morning. Girlfriend says she DEFINETLY notices the diffrence.

Comment from: Adam, 55-64 Female on Treatment for 1-2 years (Patient) Published: December 23

After my traffic accident, any exercise will give me pain on my old injuries. After years, I got high cholesterol and high BP 130/90. Later, it gave me ED. I buy 100 mg and split each to 4 portions. Too much of it, the erection will continue long after sex is over. At 25 mg it's just right. Erection ends just after or an hour after the act ends. Also, too much might create other medical problems. If I don't get an erection at night, then I'll take another portion. By morning, I'll have it. Please note that lovemaking and foreplay are essential to a sex act. Relax and enjoy. Anxiety create failure.
