SecreFlo (secretin) is a peptide hormone used in stimulating pancreatic secretions, including bicarbonate, to aid in the diagnosis of pancreatic exocrine dysfunction, to stimulate gastrin secretion to aid in the diagnosis of gastrinoma, and to stimulate pancreatic secretions to facilitate the identification of the ampulla of Vater and accessory papilla during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Common side effects include abdominal discomfort, flushing, nausea, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, sweating.
SecreFlo dose is determined by a physician. SecreFlo may interact with anticholinergic medications. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. During pregnancy, SecreFlo should be used only if prescribed. It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
