How does Tragacanth work?

Tragacanth contains ingredients that stimulate the movement of the intestines.

Are there safety concerns?

Tragacanth seems to be safe when used as a medicine. It can block the intestines if you do not drink enough fluid.

Do not take tragacanth if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • You are allergic to quillaia bark; breathing problems can occur.
