What is cancer?
Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells anywhere in a body. The abnormal cells are termed cancer cells, malignant cells, or tumor cells. Many cancers and the abnormal cells that compose the cancer tissue are further identified by the name of the tissue that the abnormal cells originated from (for example, breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer). Cancer is not confined to humans; animals and other living organisms can get cancer. VINCASAR PFS (vincristine sulfate injection) Injection has also been shown to be useful in combination with other oncolytic agents in Hodgkin†s disease,3 non-Hodgkin†s malignant lymphomas 4-6 (lym-phocytic, mixed-cell, histiocytic, undifferentiated, nodular, and diffuse types), rhab-domyosarcoma,7 neuroblastoma,8 and Wilms† tumor.9

Vincasar PFS Consumer Information: Uses
Vincristine is used to treat various types of cancer. It is a cancer chemotherapy drug that is usually used with other chemotherapy drugs to slow or stop cancer cell growth.

This medication is given by injection only into a vein as directed by your doctor. It is given on a schedule usually at weekly intervals or as directed by your doctor.
