OVERDOSE

In clinical trials with Vitravene (fomivirsen) †, one patient with advanced CMVR unresponsive to other antivitral treatments was accidentally dosed once bilaterally with 990 µg per eye. Anterior chamber paracentesis was performed bilaterally and vision was retained.

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Vitravene (fomivirsen) † is contraindicated in those persons who have known hypersensitivity to any component of this preparation.
