OVERDOSE
Overdosage by topical application of ZOVIRAX Ointment (acyclovir ointment) 5% is unlikely because of limited transcutaneous absorption (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY).
CONTRAINDICATIONS
ZOVIRAX Ointment (acyclovir ointment) 5% is contraindicated in patients who develop hypersensitivity to the components of the formulation.
