CidalEaze (Lidocaine HCl 3% Cream) is a topical anesthetic indicated for the relief of itching, itchy eczemas, abrasions, minor burns, insect bites, pain, soreness, and discomfort due to anal itching, vulvar and vaginal itching, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and similar conditions of the skin and mucous membranes. Common side effects of CidalEaze include:

  • redness,
  • swelling, or
  • abnormal sensation at the application site.

The dose of CidalEaze is a thin film applied to the affected area two or three times daily or as directed by a physician. CidalEaze may interact with other drugs. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant before using CidalEaze; it is unknown how it might affect a fetus. CidalEaze passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Call your doctor at once if you have:

  • severe burning, stinging, or irritation where the medicine was applied;
  • swelling or redness;
  • sudden dizziness or drowsiness after medicine is applied;
  • confusion, blurred vision, ringing in your ears; or
  • unusual sensations of temperature.

Common side effects include:

  • mild irritation where the medication is applied; or
  • numbness in places where the medicine is accidentally applied.
