What Are Dosages of Phenylephrine Nasal?

Dosages of Phenylephrine Nasal:

Nasal Spray

  • 0.125%
  • 0.25%
  • 0.5%
  • 1%
Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Nasal Congestion

  • Adults: Instill 2-3 sprays or 2-3 drops every 4 hours of 0.25-0.1% solution as needed; not to exceed 3 days
  • Children over 12 years: Instill 1-2 sprays or 1-2 drops intranasally every 4 hours of 0.25-0.1% solution as needed; not to exceed 3 days
  • Children 6-12 years: 2-3 drops intranasally every 4 hours of 0.25% solution as needed; not to exceed 3 days
  • Children 2-6 years: 1-3 drops intranasally every 2-4 hours of 0.125% solution as needed; not to exceed 3 daysv
  • Children under 2 years: Consult a physician
